The Southampton Boat Show has officially been declared a world record holder for the ”˜largest human image of a boat’.
379 visitors, exhibitors and organisers of Southampton Boat Show dressed in red and blue ponchos to form the shape of a ”˜human boat’ on the 24th September 2016. Smashing the previous record of 323 participants!
For the iconic festival of boating, the record attempt was part of the entertainment, also included live music, boat displays and a fashion show.
Following the record attempt, British Marine Boat Show sent evidence by footage to the Guinness World Records for official verification. Of which they received on Tuesday 31st January 2017.
